Highlights

  • Grenada offers one of the fastest and most affordable routes to second citizenship.
  • Visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to over 140 countries, including the UK, Schengen states, China, and Russia.
  • No residency requirement — no need to visit or live in Grenada.
  • Citizenship is lifelong and can be passed down to future generations.
  • Grenada is the only Caribbean citizenship-by-investment country with an E-2 visa treaty with the United States.

Requirements

  • Open to non-Grenadian nationals with a clean criminal record.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Two investment options are available: You can make a minimum donation of USD 150,000 to Grenada’s National Transformation Fund (or USD 200,000 or more for families), or you can invest in government-approved real estate projects with a minimum investment of USD 220,000, plus applicable government fees.
  • Must undergo due diligence and background checks.
  • Can include spouse, dependent children under 30, dependent parents, grandparents, and unmarried siblings.
  • No language, education, or business experience required.

Process

  1. Choose Your Investment Route: Decide between a donation to the National Transformation Fund or investing in approved real estate. Most single applicants opt for the donation option due to its simplicity.
  2. Engage an Authorized Agent: Grenada requires that all applications be submitted through licensed agents. Your agent will handle document collection and guide you through the entire process.
  3. Prepare and Submit Application: Collect required documents including identity proof, source of funds, and proof of dependents (if applicable). Your agent will submit these to Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU).
  4. Due Diligence Review: The CIU conducts a strict background and financial check on all applicants and dependents over age 16.
  5. Receive Approval in Principle: If successful, you’ll receive a letter confirming the government’s intention to approve your citizenship upon completion of the investment.
  6. Complete Investment Requirements: You will finalize your chosen investment — either by making the government donation or by purchasing the approved real estate.
  7. Receive Your Passport: Upon confirmation of your investment, your Grenadian citizenship certificate and passport will be issued. Neither travel to Grenada nor an interview is required.

Your Trusted Guide To Global Residency

Our FAQ covers the most common questions you will need to know  about investing in an alternative residency or citizenship.

These are government-approved programs that allow individuals to obtain residency or citizenship in a country by making a qualifying investment. It’s a legal pathway to live, work, or travel more freely — often used for global mobility, asset protection, or lifestyle upgrades.

The required investment varies by country. Some start as low as €100,000 (e.g. in the Caribbean), while others like Portugal or Spain typically require €250,000 to €500,000 or more. Investment options may include real estate, government bonds, business creation, or donation models.

Depending on the country and program, you may receive:

  • Temporary or permanent residency
  • Citizenship (with or without a passport)
  • Access to healthcare, education, and other public services
  • Visa-free travel to specific regions (like the EU Schengen Zone or Caribbean)
Timelines vary:

  • Residency programs: 2–6 months on average
  • Citizenship programs: 4 months to 2 years

Some countries also offer fast-track options for higher investments.

Not always. Some countries require a minimum number of days per year (like Portugal), while others (like Malta or St. Kitts) have no residency requirements. This makes some programs ideal for global citizens or digital nomads.
